BADUNG - Widiatmika Junior High School held the first Computer-Based National Assessment (ANBK) on 11-12 October 2021, a program from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, Technology, and Higher Education, regarding school quality assessment and equality programs at the elementary and secondary levels.
"There were no obstacles at all. It went 'smooth'. All the students who have been registered have carried out ANBK and succeeded," said Gus Arnawa, chairman of the committee for the preparation of the 2021 Widiatmika Middle School ANBK, Thursday (14/10/2021).
Gus Arnawa explained that the ANBK 2021 was first planned by the government to be held on October 4-5, 2021. However, at that time, there was a technical problem with the central government server. Many students could not access the system, so the assessment was rescheduled to October 11-12.
In total, there are 50 Widiatmika Middle School students registered to take part in the 2021 ANBK. All of them are eight-graders. Forty-five students became the main participants, while the rest were the reserve participants. The participants were divided into three sessions: morning, afternoon, and evening sessions, to comply with health protocols and maximum indoor capacity limits. All of them do the assessment online.
"We were given a choice, online or offline, but Badung Regency suggested going online. Our facilities and infrastructure are all ready to go, so we go online," said Gus Arnawa.
"Only 15 students are allowed in the computer laboratory, according to the ANBK operational procedure, although there are 33 computers ready in our school," he explained.
On the first day, the assessment was on literacy and a character survey. On the second day, the assessment was about numeracy and environmental surveys. Gus Arnawa said, Widiatmika Junior High School was very serious in preparing for the 2021 ANBK. They started with organizing a committee and registering the participants properly. Mentoring for students was also prepared in advance.
"The selected students had been properly registered. The data had been completed. At the beginning of August, we have done the simulation and online assistance so that the students know what AN is like," he said.
"Then we accompanied students to understand the materials, what literacy is, numeracy, character surveys, and what kind of learning environment is. We assisted the children so that they were ready to answer. In a week, we planned two mentoring. It was intensive in early August to early October," he concluded.
