Widiatmika Middle School Welcomes Bali United FC, Inspiring Students to Dream Big

JIMBARAN – Widiatmika Middle School received a special visit from Bali United FC, the pride of Bali’s football scene, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. The visit was part of the Bali United FC Goes to School program, which supports the school's flagship character education program, "Inspiration Class," designed to bring inspiring figures to motivate students.

The Bali United FC Goes to School program aims to scout young talents while fostering a love for sports, especially football, from an early age. Beyond introducing the Bali United FC team to young students, the program provides a platform for professional players to share their experiences and positive life values.

A series of educational and fun activities enlivened the visit, including a juggling challenge, an inspiring moment, a coaching clinic, and a photo session. The event was further brightened by a performance from the school's Modern Dance extracurricular team, which captivated the audience.

One of the event's highlights was when Leon, a Grade VII.2 student, successfully completed 285 ball juggles, earning him first place and setting a new record for the most juggles in the Bali United FC Goes to School program.

Vice Principal for Student Affairs at Widiatmika Middle School, I Dewa Agung Made Candrakusuma, emphasized that the event was designed to inspire students to dream big, especially those aspiring to become professional athletes.

“The most valuable lesson from this visit is the spirit of perseverance in pursuing dreams. The Bali United FC players openly shared their stories, from their early struggles to joining a prestigious club like Bali United,” explained Dewa.

The event was also attended by Bali United FC’s fitness coach Muhammad Rasyid, along with two star players, Maouri Simon and Kadek Lanang Agus Surya Artayana. They shared basic football techniques and personal experiences, which greatly motivated Widiatmika Middle School students, who showed high enthusiasm from the start.

Dewa further highlighted that the activity aligns with the school's vision of character education, especially in fostering discipline. He noted that the players emphasized time management and discipline in training, values also instilled in students' daily learning experiences.

The visit also opened up opportunities for long-term collaboration between Widiatmika Middle School and Bali United FC in developing students' talents.

“In the future, we plan to establish a more intensive partnership to develop students’ talents, especially in football. As a testament to the school’s commitment to supporting students' talents, two Widiatmika Middle School students — Jovata from Grade VII.3 and Kevin from Grade VIII.4 — have already joined the Bali United Academy. This is a promising start for their journey into professional football,” Dewa concluded.
