Widiatmika Middle School Shines at 2025 Bali Student Sports Week

JIMBARAN – After achieving remarkable success at the 2025 Badung Regency Student Sports Week (Porjar), students of Widiatmika Middle School continued their winning streak at the provincial level. Competing in the 2025 Bali Provincial Porjar, they proudly brought home multiple medals, underscoring the school's dedication to fostering excellence beyond academics.

Anak Agung Putu Kirana Ayunindya, a Grade VII.2 student, emerged as a standout athlete by clinching two gold medals in the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle swimming events. These victories mirrored her earlier double-gold triumph in the same categories at the regency level.

Her classmate, I Made Wisnu Leksa Vedhananda Giri Putra from Grade VIII.2, also earned silver in the 200-meter freestyle at the provincial event, following his previous gold and silver wins in the same discipline at the Badung Porjar.

In basketball, three students contributed to Badung’s teams. Ketut Regina Cahyani Warmana Putri (Grade IX.3) and Agatha Sheiva Francesca (Grade VIII.2) helped secure silver for the girls' team, while I Ketut Surya Satwika Nugraha (Grade VIII.1) played a key role in the boys’ team’s second-place finish.

On the badminton court, Ni Kadek Sri Pradnya Paramitha (Grade IX.2) won silver in the girls’ doubles event. She also previously earned a silver medal in the girls’ singles at the regency level.

Principal of Widiatmika Middle School, I Wayan Gus Arnawa, expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments.

“This is more than a celebration of athletic ability. It reflects the values of perseverance and the school’s commitment to nurturing students in a holistic way,” he said.

Arnawa emphasized that Widiatmika Middle School actively supports students' talents and interests through structured extracurricular programs. The school’s basketball club, in particular, has proven to be one of the most consistent in producing young talents.

To support student-athletes, the school provides academic flexibility, access to proper facilities, and mentorship from experienced coaches. Arnawa also highlighted the crucial role of families.

“Success is never a solo journey. It’s the result of close collaboration between students, teachers, parents, and coaches,” he concluded.
