JIMBARAN – The Student Council (OSIS) of Widiatmika Middle School for the 2025-2026 term was officially inaugurated on Monday, February 10, 2025. This new leadership introduces several innovative programs, with Widiatmika Extracurricular Performance (WEP) as its flagship initiative to foster students’ talents and interests through various extracurricular activities.
As a student organization that plays a vital role in realizing the school’s vision and mission, the Student Council serves as a platform for student aspirations. It is expected to enhance the quality of education while shaping students into more active, creative, and high-achieving individuals.
“This inauguration grants official legitimacy to the 2025-2026 Student Council while also serving as a moment of motivation and appreciation for those ready to take on leadership roles at school,” said Kadek Ega Dian Wibawa, the Student Council Advisor at Widiatmika Middle School.
He hopes that the new leadership team will set an example for other students and turn the Student Council into a valuable organizational learning platform. According to him, through OSIS, students can hone their leadership and organizational skills, which will be beneficial in their future social and professional lives.
One of the main focuses of this year’s Student Council is strengthening students’ character based on Pancasila values. To achieve this, the council has introduced WEP and a classroom decoration competition as part of its efforts to boost creativity and enthusiasm for learning.
“Through WEP, students can showcase performances from the extracurricular activities they participate in. It serves as an avenue for them to express their talents while building self-confidence. Meanwhile, the classroom decoration competition aims to create a more comfortable and inspiring learning environment,” he explained.
The President of the Widiatmika Middle School Student Council for 2025-2026, Cokorda Istri Devika Sarisha Nalini, emphasized that WEP will be the main focus of her leadership.
“Our motivation is to bring positive change to the school. We want the Student Council to be a platform that truly supports the development of students' talents and interests. With WEP, every individual has the opportunity to showcase their best potential,” she stated.
Furthermore, Devika encouraged all Widiatmika Middle School students to take an active role in Student Council activities and contribute to the school’s progress.
“The Student Council is not just for its members—it is a platform for all of us. Let’s work together and contribute because every idea and participation matters for our school’s development. Don’t hesitate to get involved in OSIS activities, as this is where you’ll find opportunities to grow,” she concluded.
