Putu Mita Wulandani, Vice Principal for Public Relations, stated that Bali Language Month is an annual event and part of the student council’s program. Additionally, the event aligns with Circular No. 7 of 2024 regarding the Implementation of the Seventh Bali Language Month in 2025, which applies to all provinces, cities, and districts in Bali.

"As an educational institution, Widiatmika High School holds a great responsibility in supporting the preservation of local languages and cultures. Through this Bali Language Month celebration, we aim to foster students’ appreciation and pride in the Balinese language, literature, and the wisdom embedded within them," said Mita.

She further explained that various activities and competitions were designed to provide students with opportunities to actively participate, express their creativity, and enhance their linguistic and artistic skills. In this celebration, students were not just participants but were also involved in the preparation and organization of the event, allowing them to experience meaningful and enjoyable learning.

"The Jegeg Bagus competition, Balinese script writing, Balinese pop singing, as well as musical drama and choir performances by students from classes X.1 and X.2, were the highlights of the event. These activities were not only competitive but also educational, as they instilled cultural values and strengthened the sense of togetherness among students," she added.

Their dedication was evident in every preparation and performance, reflecting the significance of this activity in raising awareness about the preservation of the Balinese language among the younger generation.

"We are very proud to see the active participation of all students in this celebration. Through events like this, we hope that more young people will not only learn about the Balinese language but also use it in their daily lives as part of their cultural identity," Mita said.

She also expressed hope that the Bali Language Month celebration at Widiatmika High School would continue to grow, incorporating more engaging and innovative activities.
